Trekking Period
|
|
Best time for trekking is from September to May.
October to April is a good time for viewing (High
visibility) snow-capped mountain ranges rimming the
horizons. Winter sets in by November and stays till
February. During these periods, the minimum
temperature can reach as low as 1 to 2 degree
Celsius. However during summers, from May to
September, chances to view snow capped mountains is
low. Summer temperature reaches over 25 degree
Celsius. Monsoon rains occur during mid to late
summers from June through August. At this time
trekking has a different kind of attraction as you
can see most of the landscape, terraces, forests
turn deep green. The formation of the fluffy clouds
in the mountains and floating low almost touching
you, is a wonderful experience. |
|
Health & Medical |
|
It is preferable to carry a personal first aid kit
with some stomach medication, aspirin, topical
antiseptic for cuts and bruises. For skin protection
carry a suitable sun block lotion. A good dental
condition before the trek is good , as en route
there are no dental clinics.
